avoca-don!
I love Dons. Donburi’s, Don Marshall’s, Do(m) Perignon’s…..donkeys…..good stuff.

SHISO & UNAGI AVOCA-DON!
Sautee frozen Unagi with avocado slices and chopped shiso (perilla). Pour egg into pan and cover until cooked. Serve over rice (add 1-2 tbs of sushi/rice vinegar per serving); garnish with nori (seaweed) and scallions. Drizzle additional Unagi Sauce if necessary.

Thank god for frozen packaging and asian markets - I would cry if I could never eat Unagi again! Not only is eel is loaded with those good fish oils (EPA, DHA), it’s also a great source of vitamins (especially the B’s), calcium, iron…the list goes on. And no need to be afraid of eels, they are friendly creatures…husband devoured, sang, danced, etc etc. Try it!

You love Donkeys?
Watch out for mercury-filled eels from China.
Next time you’re in Tokyo, Yuko and I shall take you to our neighboorhood fish market (aka Tsukiji shijou!) for some yummmé unagi-okura-tororo-natto DON!
My favorite Don?
… Don mai, don mai.
Tao-san, I try to avoid fish from your country but they are freakin everywhere! They scare me, can you do something about it?
