The other day, I walked by a sign outside of a restaurant that said “Miso Hungry Noodles”. It took me a while to register.
Miso uninspired. Sigh.

WARM MISO VICHYSSOISE.
Ingredients: (4 Servings)
2 russet potatoes, peeled
1 white onion, peeled
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 cup stock
1 tbs white miso
¼ cup heavy cream
1 tsp sugar
Fresh pepper to taste
Boil whole potatoes for about 30 min. In a separate pot, put whole onion, garlic, and stock; let simmer for 10 min or until onion is tender. Pour mixture into blender. Add drained boiled potatoes and miso; blend until liquified. Transfer contents of blender back to pot. Stir in heavy cream and sugar. Heat and serve with freshly ground pepper.
