buckwheat crêpes.
Bonjour Montréal! I miss you already… (And by Montréal, I mean Joh & François, who came to visit the city this weekend.)
Do you like my tuque? And my bloody caesar? Oh I love you both, muah muah.

My over-stuffed GALETTE.
Ingredients: (4 Servings)
¾ cup buckwheat flour
1 cup milk
½ tsp salt
2 tbs unsalted butter (plus additional for pan)
Pictured with tuna and fresh goat cheese - although my favorite is probably just some good old PB & J.

The hub wished me a “Happy Martin Luther King Day!” at least three times today, the first one at 5 in the morning. He says I get to open presents (”a Lil Wayne CD”). Anyway, I am surely lacking the proper enthusiasm, but happy MLK Day to you, too…!

Happy MLK Day to you both!
But my GOSH that’s a mighty over-stuffed galette. Love it!
I was hungry!
Here you go…
You can now drink Bloody Ceaser with celery salt and celery…hummm! Some of us also drink Clamato and beer… but that’s just some of us!! Don’t ask, I’m not too sure who belongs to the “us”…

And for a more animal-conscious choice next time (joking, I love your rabbit!):

Have a great day!
JohJoh - may I kindly remind you - “Emma, you like rabbits? Well I LIKE TO EAT THEM!”
(Poor bunnies.) xo
I’m not sure how i feel about this.
I have to admit…
I completely forgot how cruel I was with children and… well…animals! Rabbits taste like chicken anyways, no big deal!
Here’s a recipe for you!

I’ll look for a frog recipe pretty soon… not so cruel to kill a couple of them though… and not so appetizing!
Eeeeh, quoi?? Good thing there are pictures, but I will not eat those poor rabbits… (I just like to wear them.) Bah!!
Rabbits are delicious when prepared the right way. This rabbit dish I had with my mom in Firenze still holds its position in my Top Five Restaurant Dishes of All Time (and that’s a pretty big deal, in my book).
I don’t feel so bad about eating them because, despite their fuzzy wuzzy cuteness, they are able to procreate at a more-than-decent rate (remember the phrase “f–k like bunnies”) and from what I remember about them as pets, they don’t seem to be all too bright (”dumb bunny”).
And damn, that dish was good.
I know I know…I eat anything, I don’t discriminate.
(Although I did have a pet bunny when I was a kid, which still holds a special place in my heart. Sob.)
